Broward County Information

Broward County is located in the state of Florida and has a population of about 1,700,000, making it the second most populated county in the state. It is the sixteenth most populated county in the United States. With the soft golden sands, gentle ocean breezes, and yacht-filled waterways, this county is a desirable place to live.

Broward County boasts some notable attractions including the Museum of Science and Discovery, the International Swimming Hall of Fame, the Hall of Fame for Sport Fishing, Flamingo Garderns (botanical garden and wildlife sanctuary) and the Festival Flea Market Mall (America’s largest indoor flea market).

Although job growth is negative and the housing market down, due to the poor economy this country is experiencing, the government is actively making changes to improve the status of Broward County with the help of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).
